Sokratis Aleiftiras resigns from Plevsi Eleftherias

Sokratis Aleiftiras, a prominent agricultural unionist and spokesperson for the United Federation of Agricultural Associations of Larissa, has resigned from the Plevsi Eleftherias party. His resignation includes his position as the party's Head of the Agricultural Sector as well as his membership in the organization.

In a public statement, Aleiftiras noted that his decision was the result of “deep thought and intense reflection over the last few months.” He stated that the move was a conscious decision to remain faithful to his personal beliefs and values, and to prevent anyone from “altering his character and personality.”

While Aleiftiras informed party president Zoi Konstantopoulou of his decision privately and with respect, he declined to disclose the specific reasons for his departure to the public at this time. He expressed gratitude to Konstantopoulou, the parliamentary group, and his colleagues for their trust, noting that he intends to continue working on agricultural issues through organized collective efforts.
