Sokratis Famellos Slams Greek Government Over Constitutional Revision
SYRIZA‑PS leader Sokratis Famellos accused the current Greek government of corruption and said it cannot guarantee a credible constitutional revision process. He criticized proposed changes, including the amendment of article 16 concerning universities, and denounced the government's “conservative, anti‑popular and hypocritical” approach.
Famellos also responded to fellow SYRIZA member Pavlos Polakis, arguing that an autonomous electoral drop would penalize the party for not supporting a progressive change. He reaffirmed SYRIZA’s commitment to a united progressive bloc with Alexis Tsipras, emphasizing the need for a strong, unified opposition to advance democratic reforms.
