Solana and Ethereum ETFs with Staking Feature Filed with US SEC
A Wall Street asset manager has submitted a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to list a Solana exchange‑traded fund that would pass through staking rewards to investors, a move that could expand crypto yield products into mainstream markets. The proposal follows Solana’s recent network upgrades and growing on‑chain activity, with the token trading around $77 and a market capitalization of roughly $45 billion.
Morgan Stanley also filed updated S‑1/A statements for spot Ethereum and Solana ETFs, proposing a 0.14% annual sponsor fee and including staking provisions for both assets. The filings name BNY Mellon and Coinbase Custody as joint custodians and list the proposed tickers MSSE (Ethereum) and MSOL (Solana) on NYSE Arca. Both filings are being closely watched as the SEC evaluates crypto‑ETF structures and staking mechanisms.
