Solana Company CEO: China reopening could spark crypto supercycle

Joseph Chee, CEO of Solana Company, suggests that a potential reopening of China’s cryptocurrency market could trigger a new crypto supercycle. Chee argues that the return of the world’s second-largest economy to digital assets would significantly broaden market demand due to Asia’s large demographic base of potential users and traders.

Chee posits that Beijing may be using Hong Kong as a pilot site to observe blockchain services and crypto trading before deciding whether to loosen restrictions on the mainland. He believes a supercycle would occur if the Chinese government finds a way to regulate trading and utilize the technology for corporate and cross-border commerce. While Chee views the potential impact as “huge,” Beijing has not officially announced any changes to its current restrictive policies.
