Solana ecosystem sees $1 trillion stablecoin volume and RWA growth
Solana's ecosystem has reached significant milestones in transaction volume and application revenue. Official documents indicate that stablecoin transaction volume on the network exceeded $1 trillion in 2025. However, analysts note that high network usage does not automatically translate to increased demand for the SOL token, as third-party fee payers can cover transaction costs without users needing to hold the native asset.
In terms of revenue, Solana-based applications generated approximately $193 million over a recent 30-day period, outpacing competitors like Hyperliquid and Ethereum. While consumer applications—driven largely by meme coin platforms like Pump.fun—still account for about 80% of this revenue, the ecosystem is seeing structural diversification.
A major growth driver is the Real World Asset (RWA) sector, which has seen its market capitalization surge from $700 million to $4.37 billion within a year. This expansion includes significant growth in tokenized stocks and interest-bearing assets, signaling a shift from purely speculative activity toward more diverse financial services like lending and credit.
