Solana faces technical updates amid ETF outflows

Solana is currently navigating a period of technical advancement alongside challenging capital market conditions. The Solana Foundation has announced new versions for several core components, including Agave, a new Firedancer mainnet release, and updates for Solana Kit, Superbank, and Token-2022. These updates aim to improve infrastructure by decoupling the Solana-CLI from certain tools, allowing developers to install components more efficiently, and enhancing validator processes and signature verification efficiency.

On the demand side, US-based spot Solana ETFs have experienced significant outflows. Reports indicate that on October 27, these ETFs saw a loss of 19.16 million USD, marking a substantial daily outflow. Total outflows for the week reached 27.38 million USD, while October outflows totaled approximately 99.62 million USD. This has contributed to a decrease in the net assets of these funds from 1.96 billion USD in late September to 1.54 billion USD.

Regarding network economics, the Solana network inflation rate in epoch 1073 is recorded at 3.5777 percent per year, resulting in the creation of approximately 62,415 new SOL tokens daily. As of late October, the SOL token price has faced downward pressure, trading significantly lower than its monthly high and its all-time high of 293.31 USD.
