Solana sees rising tokenized stock adoption and regulatory clarity

Solana is experiencing significant shifts in both its regulatory status and network utility. New guidance from US financial watchdogs has reclassified several major cryptocurrencies, including Solana, as non-security assets. This regulatory clarity is expected to reduce compliance burdens for banks, asset managers, and payment companies that previously avoided the asset due to legal uncertainty.

On the technical and economic front, Solana has seen a surge in the adoption of tokenized equity products. The number of addresses holding at least one tokenized stock on the platform has nearly tripled since the start of September 2026, reaching approximately 1.4 million addresses.

Despite this growth in users and utility, Solana's token price has faced recent volatility, dropping approximately 15% from its early October highs. However, the network remains a leader in profitability; between October 12 and October 18, Solana generated roughly $6.54 million in network revenue, accounting for 38% of the total revenue across all analyzed blockchain networks.
