Solana price fluctuates near $100 amid network updates and US Senate vote

Solana (SOL) is currently navigating a period of market consolidation, trading around the $100 to $102 range. While the asset has seen a significant recovery of approximately 35% in the third quarter, it continues to trail Ethereum's performance. Technical analysts are closely monitoring the $105 to $110 resistance zone; a sustained break above this level could trigger a rally toward $120, whereas a drop below $97 or $98 could lead to further declines.

Fundamental developments are providing mixed signals. On one hand, DeFi Development Corporation (NASDAQ: DFDV) has expanded its Solana treasury to 2.39 million SOL, signaling potential corporate accumulation. Additionally, the Solana network is set to activate a Transaction-v1 update, which will increase the maximum transaction size from 1,232 to 4,096 bytes to accommodate more complex operations.

External regulatory factors also loom large. The US Senate is scheduled to vote on the CLARITY Act, a significant piece of cryptocurrency legislation. The outcome of this vote is expected to influence the market, as a positive result could support the classification of SOL as a digital commodity.
