Solana tokenized equity holders surpass 800,000
The number of tokenized equity holders on the Solana blockchain has seen rapid growth, surpassing 800,000 addresses as of mid-September. This represents an 88% increase from approximately 424,000 addresses at the start of the month.
Data indicates that the supply of tokenized equities on the network reached a record $684 million. However, the growth in wallet addresses has significantly outpaced the growth in total value, with the average holding per address calculated at roughly $850. This discrepancy suggests that much of the growth is driven by smaller speculative buys and automated fee distributions.
Part of this surge is attributed to new mechanics on launchpads like Pump.fun, which allow creators to pair coins with tokenized stocks. In these setups, trading fees can be paid out in stock tokens rather than SOL, causing wallets to be counted as equity holders as a byproduct of memecoin trading. Additionally, a significant portion of tokenized equity volume occurs outside of traditional US stock market hours, providing 24/7 access to financial assets.
