Solana’s Staking Market Cap Surges and Spot ETF Assets Top $1 Billion
Solana (SOL) saw its staked market capitalization jump 13.78% over the week to $32.87 billion, keeping the blockchain in second place behind Ethereum. The network led the sector in validator participation, with roughly 1.47 million staking wallets, and generated an estimated $1.89 billion in annual staking rewards, slightly ahead of Ethereum.
At the same time, spot exchange‑traded funds (ETFs) tracking SOL, managed by Bitwise and Fidelity, surpassed $1.06 billion in assets under management. This marks one of the fastest capital‑raising performances for any crypto product outside Bitcoin and Ethereum, underscoring growing institutional confidence in Solana. The token traded around $73, giving it a market value of about $42.7 billion and a 2.09% share of the overall crypto market. Recent on‑chain activity showed roughly $1.36 billion of tokenized equity volume, accounting for about 96% of cross‑chain equity trades, and daily transaction counts approaching 100 million, indicating sustained usage beyond pure speculation.
