Solange Knowles to unveil sculpture on New York’s High Line

Artist and musician Solange Knowles will unveil a large-scale sculpture on New York City’s High Line as part of the “Unfinished Projects” program. The event, organized by Google and supported by Google Chrome, will take place in the High Line’s Chelsea Market Passage from September 24 to 27.

Knowles’s sculpture, inspired by a sketch created seven years ago, was developed with Google Chrome acting as a research and production partner to assist with fabrication techniques and material management. The piece is designed to explore electrical conductivity through form and observe how materials change when interacting with light, touch, and human energy.

The exhibition will also feature other creative works, including ballet flats designed by musician PinkPantheress and a custom chess set created by NFL player Joe Burrow.
