Solar and energy companies report mixed Q2 2026 financial results

Several companies in the renewable energy sector reported second-quarter 2026 financial results and strategic updates.

FTC Solar reported a 51.5% increase in revenue compared to the previous quarter, reaching $26.2 million, which exceeded company guidance. Despite this growth, the company reported a GAAP net loss of $27.1 million. FTC Solar maintains a contracted backlog of approximately $560 million, including projects in the United States and Australia.

T1 Energy Inc. saw its shares decline following reports of a $44.5 million net loss for the second quarter, despite generating $250.1 million in sales. The company continues to expand its solar manufacturing footprint, with production at its Dallas facility reaching 935 MW and construction advancing on a solar cell facility in Austin.

Exelon Corporation saw a slight stock increase as its foundation expanded its Climate Change Investment Initiative. The company added Public Grid and Buckstop to its $20 million climate program, which focuses on energy affordability, infrastructure, and resource efficiency.
