Solar and energy technology companies secure Series A funding
Two energy technology companies have announced significant Series A funding rounds to advance solar and storage solutions.
Optivolt, a power electronics company, raised $32 million in a Series A round led by VXI Capital. The company develops an intelligence layer for solar panels through its Power Balancer, which embeds active power electronics directly into the panel. This technology manages energy among cell groups in real time to mitigate power loss caused by shade, weather, dirt, and degradation. Optivolt intends to use the funds to expand manufacturing for applications ranging from residential homes to utility-scale projects for AI data centers.
VECKTA raised $11 million in an oversubscribed Series A led by Origin Ventures. The company operates a planning and procurement platform for onsite solar, battery storage, and distributed energy technologies. VECKTA’s platform utilizes data to analyze properties and generate business cases for solar and storage configurations. The company plans to use the capital to expand its U.S. customer team, product capabilities, and supplier network.
