Solar companies LONGi and Sungrow launch new technologies in Australia
At the All Energy Australia 2026 exhibition in Melbourne, solar industry leaders LONGi and Sungrow unveiled new products aimed at the Oceania renewable energy market.
LONGi introduced two next-generation solar modules: the Hi-MO 9 Prime for utility-scale use and the Hi-MO X12 for distributed generation. Both modules utilize HPBC 2.0 cell technology. The Hi-MO X12 features Integrated Conductive Backsheet technology, which uses pre-printed metal foil circuits to eliminate conventional ribbons and reduce potential solder joint failure points. LONGi also signed strategic agreements with partners in Australia and New Zealand, targeting a module delivery of 2 GW.
Sungrow debuted its PowerHarbour residential energy storage platform, designed to manage household renewable energy. The system includes intelligent energy management and flexible storage options. Certain configurations in the PowerHarbour Pro range feature integrated electric vehicle (EV) charging, intended to support the growing demand for home charging and future vehicle-to-everything (V2X) applications.
