Solar energy initiatives expand through agrivoltaics in India and co-ops in Indiana

Sunkind India Ltd is exploring agrivoltaic projects in Rajasthan, Odisha, and Uttar Pradesh. The company is in discussions with farmers and developers to implement systems that allow for simultaneous crop cultivation and solar power generation. These projects aim to provide dual land use, additional income for farmers through electricity sales, and improved microclimates for crops via solar panel shading.

In the United States, the nonprofit Solar United Neighbors has selected Solar Energy Solutions as the installer for its Central Indiana Solar Co-op. The initiative aims to assist homeowners and small businesses in Indianapolis and surrounding counties with solar panel installations to mitigate rising energy costs.
