Solar energy investments increasing without subsidies

A report by the Solar Association indicates that an increasing number of companies are choosing to install photovoltaic systems using their own funds rather than relying on national or European subsidies. Companies such as DIOSS Nýřany, Pražská strojírenská, RD Rýmařov, and Majaland are among those opting for self-funding.

According to the association, implementing solar plants without subsidies is often faster, simpler, and more cost-effective. Investors avoid the administrative burden of public tenders and the lengthy waiting periods associated with subsidy announcements. This approach also allows companies to select suppliers based on proven references rather than tender requirements.

For example, DIOSS Nýřany, a metal processing firm, plans to install a system that will cover approximately seven percent of its electricity consumption. The company expects a return on investment in about seven years without public support. Igor Blažek ml., CEO of DIOSS Nýřany, noted that avoiding subsidies eliminates the need to fulfill complex sustainability conditions and speeds up the construction process.
