Solar-Powered Mobile Cinema Brings Free Outdoor Screenings to Brazilian Cities
A solar‑powered mobile cinema, known as CineSolar, is providing free outdoor film sessions in several Brazilian municipalities. In the Baixada Santista region, screenings are scheduled for Guarujá on June 9 and Cubatão on June 10, featuring short films, documentaries and the animated feature “O Menino e o Panda.” The events include popcorn distribution, accessibility accommodations and exhibits of the vehicle’s photovoltaic technology.
In the municipality of Macaé, the CineSolarzinho edition will run from June 25‑27 in the neighborhoods of Glicério, Lagomar and Bosque Azul. Families can watch short films on sustainability, science and friendship at local schools and public spaces, with similar amenities and educational displays about solar energy conversion. The project, supported by cultural and governmental partners, aims to promote environmental awareness and cultural access for children and the broader community.
