Solar technology advances focus on high-efficiency PV and space applications
Suntech is prioritizing technological innovation and global market expansion through the end of 2026. The company is focusing on high-efficiency N-type TOPCon technologies, specifically highlighting its Ultra T 3.0 quarter-cut module. This module features cell efficiency of up to 27.5% and module efficiency exceeding 25.2%, designed to reduce power losses and lower the levelized cost of energy.
To support growth, Suntech has secured over 800 MW in overseas distribution orders and established strategic partnerships with entities such as Lawrence & Hanson, OSW Energy, and Alternergy. The company continues to engage with markets in regions including Brazil, Egypt, Vietnam, Germany, and Japan.
In the broader industry, the TaiyangNews High-Efficiency Solar Technologies Conference is scheduled for November 2026. The event will focus on advancements in TOPCon and back-contact (BC) technologies. For the first time, the conference will also include a session dedicated to next-generation photovoltaics and space solar, exploring the requirements for solar technology applications in space.
