Solarino Mayor Tiziano Spada appoints new municipal council

Mayor Tiziano Spada has appointed a new municipal executive for Solarino following a recent reset of administrative roles. The new administration maintains the majority support of the Carta group.

The new council includes several returning members: Giuseppe Urciullo, Milena Cianci, and Benedetta Italia. They are joined by new appointees Marilena Intagliata, who will also serve as deputy mayor, and architect Paolo Cianci.

Responsibilities have been redistributed among the members. Milena Cianci will oversee culture, education, and equal opportunities. Paolo Cianci is tasked with school and sports construction, urban planning, and mobility. Marilena Intagliata will manage human resources, municipal police, and litigation. Benedetta Italia will handle welfare, family, and youth policies, while Giuseppe Urciullo will manage the environment, water, waste, and public works. Mayor Spada will retain control over the budget and major events.
