Soldier Mônica de Souza wins international police shooting competition

Soldier Mônica de Souza of the 10th Military Police Battalion secured first place in the female category at the ‘August 10 – 50 Years of Shock Operations’ shooting competition. The event took place on August 19 at the headquarters of the 6th Military Police Battalion in Cascavel, Brazil.

The competition featured over 125 participants from Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay, marking its status as an international event and one of the largest police shooting competitions in Brazil. Participants were evaluated on precision, emotional control, physical fitness, combat techniques, weapon handling, and obstacle navigation.

The tournament brought together various security institutions, including the Military, Civil, Scientific, and Federal Highway Police, as well as the Federal Police, State and Federal Penal Police, Municipal Guards, and the Brazilian Army. Beyond competition, the event aimed to promote cooperation and experience sharing among different security forces. Top performers received trophies, medals, and firearms.
