Soledad de Graciano Sánchez authorities manage bee swarms

The Municipal Civil Protection System in Soledad de Graciano Sánchez is increasing its response to bee swarms appearing in residential areas, green spaces, and sports centers. Authorities are currently managing between two and three reports daily.

Martín Bravo Galicia, Director of Municipal Civil Protection, stated that a specific protocol is in place to identify the species and coordinate with professional beekeepers. This approach aims to relocate the bees safely to prevent their extermination while ensuring public safety. The initiative follows instructions from Mayor Juan Manuel Navarro Muñiz to provide immediate response to potential risks.

Citizens are urged not to attempt to remove or exterminate the swarms themselves. Instead, they are encouraged to report sightings to the Civil Protection Unit via the 24-hour telephone line 444 831 1260. Authorities noted an increase in public awareness and timely reporting, including from educational institutions.
