Soledad de Graciano Sánchez launches literacy program in San Luis Potosí

Juan Manuel Navarro Muñiz, the Mayor of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, has signed an agreement to launch ‘La Ruta por la Educación’ in the state of San Luis Potosí. The program aims to boost literacy among adults and youth through a technologically equipped mobile unit designed to reach difficult-to-access areas.

The initiative was inaugurated at the Doroteo Arango Municipal Theater in collaboration with federal, state, and private sector representatives. During the event, the State Institute for Adult Education (IEEA) issued 300 certificates to individuals completing primary and secondary basic education.

Mayor Navarro highlighted that Soledad de Graciano Sánchez has achieved a ‘white flag’ distinction, meaning it has eradicated 98.7 percent of illiteracy. This makes the municipality the first in the state and the third in Mexico to reach this milestone.
