San Luis Potosí officials coordinate infrastructure and health projects
President Claudia Sheinbaum and San Luis Potosí Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona met in Arena Potosí to coordinate federal and state projects. Key initiatives discussed include the San Luis Potosí–Nuevo Laredo passenger train to improve connectivity, water supply management in the metropolitan area through cooperation with Conagua, and the expansion of the IMSS-Bienestar health system across the state's four regions.
In the municipality of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, Mayor Juan Manuel Navarro Muñiz is advancing several urban development and public service projects. These include the reconstruction of the Praderas del Maurel Urban Park with a 2.7 million peso investment, the installation of new LED lighting in various neighborhoods, and the paving of Jesús Yuren Avenue. Additionally, local authorities are organizing commercial spaces for approximately 250 vendors for upcoming national holiday celebrations and conducting operations to prevent animal abuse by prohibiting the use of horses for waste collection.
In the capital city, the municipal government is restoring the historic Kiosco in Plaza de Armas, which includes floor reinforcement and the installation of new oak flooring, with completion expected before September 15.
