Soledad de Graciano Sánchez transforms abandoned space into urban park

Mayor Juan Manuel Navarro Muñiz announced the progress of the ‘Primero de Mayo’ Urban Park project in the Fidel Velázquez neighborhood of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez. The project aims to transform a previously abandoned space into a major recreational and community center.

With an investment of 3.2 million pesos, the renovation includes stamped concrete, the rehabilitation of multi-purpose rooms and sports courts, an outdoor gym, children's play areas, a remodeled kiosk, and new perimeter fencing. The park will also feature a modern LED lighting system.

In addition to recreational improvements, the project includes essential infrastructure upgrades. This involves replacing old asbestos sewage pipes with new PEAD piping to improve sanitary services and rainwater drainage, as well as repairing damaged drainage sections on Luis Ling Street toward Seguridad Social Avenue.
