Solférias plans new medium-haul destination for summer 2027

Solférias is planning to introduce a new medium-haul destination for the summer 2027 season. Sónia Regateiro, the company’s Chief Operating Officer, announced that while the specific destination remains confidential due to ongoing negotiations with airlines, the expansion is currently being developed.

Regarding existing routes, the tour operator intends to maintain its charter operations to Maceió, Brazil, departing from Lisbon. For Egypt, Solférias plans to continue offering five weekly flights, though it is evaluating schedule adjustments, such as moving departures to El Alamein to Wednesdays, to optimize service.

Regateiro also expressed concerns regarding rising jet fuel prices, predicting that demand will keep costs high regardless of geopolitical shifts. She noted that these increasing costs may impact consumer spending, potentially leading travelers to reduce travel expenses in response to broader economic pressures.
