Solidarity initiatives launch to support ALS patients in Spain

Various community initiatives are underway to raise awareness and funds for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). In Peñíscola, Spain, the third annual Solidarity March for ALS is scheduled for November 8. The event features a five-kilometer walk starting from the Paseo Marítimo, with organizers aiming to attract over 500 participants. Proceeds will support the Valencian Association of ALS (ADELA-CV).

In Etxagüe, a sporting challenge titled ‘La peña le da kaña a la ELA’ has commenced. Participants aim to climb Peña Unzue 24 times within 24 hours, targeting a total of 6,000 meters of elevation gain and 6,000 euros in donations for the association ANELA. The event coincides with the second anniversary of the publication of the ALS Law, though organizers note that the implementation of the law continues to progress slowly.
