Solidarity walks raise funds for cancer research and prevention

Various regional solidarity walks have been organized to support cancer research and prevention efforts.

In Casacastalda, Italy, the first edition of ‘Un passo per la ricerca’ saw over 130 participants. Organized by Pro Loco Casacastalda in collaboration with the AIRC Foundation for Cancer Research, the event raised a total of 2,170 euros. These funds, comprising contributions from the Municipality of Valfabbrica, local associations, and individual donations, were donated entirely to AIRC to support oncological research and awareness.

In Ceccano, the SerenaMente association organized a solidarity walk dedicated to cancer prevention in memory of Serena Ciotoli. The event featured a procession through the city accompanied by a municipal band and cheerleaders. Proceeds from the sale of commemorative t-shirts were donated to Lilt Frosinone, the Italian League for the Fight against Tumors, to support ongoing prevention and awareness initiatives.
