Soliss Balonmano Pozuelo debuts in top Spanish women's handball league

Soliss Balonmano Pozuelo has made its debut in the Liga Guerreras Iberdrola, marking the first time a women's handball team from Castilla-La Mancha has reached the highest national category. The club achieved this milestone after winning the División de Honor Oro championship.

Carlos Yuste, the Director General of Youth and Sports for the regional government, highlighted the achievement as a significant moment for local female athletes. He noted that the regional government currently invests over 3.5 million euros in national-level federations and clubs to improve performance and infrastructure. Since 2015, Castilla-La Mancha has seen a 43% increase in female sports licenses and a 55% increase in aid for female athletes.
