solmotion begins construction of Agri-PV plant in Baindt

The solmotion Group has commenced construction of the ‘APV Feuersberg’ agri-photovoltaic (Agri-PV) plant in Baindt, Germany. Commissioned by Agri-PV Feuersberg GmbH, the project features an installed capacity of 4.29 megawatt peak (MWp).

The facility will utilize 6,916 solar modules, each providing 620 Wp, mounted on a Zimmermann 1P-tracker system. To enhance grid flexibility and manage energy distribution, the site will include two green electricity battery storage units with a combined capacity of 10.03 megawatt hours (MWh).

As an Agri-PV installation, the design allows for continued agricultural use between the rows of solar modules. The project development was noted for its rapid administrative progress, with the local development plan being finalized within nine months.
