Solomon Islands and Malawi passport rankings released for 2026
The 2026 Passport Reports data reveals new global mobility rankings for the Solomon Islands and Malawi.
The Solomon Islands passport ranks 59th globally with a Mobility Score of 137. It provides access to 69.2% of destinations without a conventional pre-arranged visa, including 84 visa-free locations and 44 destinations via visa-on-arrival or facilitated entry. Within Oceania, the passport ranks third among 14 countries, offering an 84.6% regional access rate. Access is notably high in the Caribbean (93.8%), North America (91.3%), and Europe (89.4%).
Malawi's passport ranks 118th globally and ninth among African nations. It has a Mobility Score of 76, providing access to 38.4% of destinations. This includes 41 visa-free locations, 29 via visa-on-arrival or simplified arrangements, and six through electronic travel authorization (eTA). Within Africa, the passport maintains a 66% access rate. The report notes a slight decline in mobility for Malawi compared to 2025 figures.
