Solomon Islands CSSI officers sworn in to support police during no-confidence operation
More than 35 officers from the Correctional Services of Solomon Islands (CSSI) Emergency Response Group (ERG) have been sworn in to support the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF). The officers will assist in providing security during the upcoming Motion of No Confidence (MoNC) operation, which is scheduled to take place on Monday, September 7.
The oath of office was administered by Acting RSIPF Commissioner James Aitorea on September 3 at the Rove Police Headquarters. During the ceremony, Commissioner Aitorea emphasized the importance of professionalism and the lawful exercise of power. He urged the CSSI officers to work closely with their police colleagues to ensure the operation remains safe and secure while protecting the democratic process.
