Solveo Energies inaugurates hybrid solar plant in Saint-Élix-le-Château

Solveo Energies has inaugurated a hybrid photovoltaic plant in Saint-Élix-le-Château, Haute-Garonne. The facility, located on a former gravel pit, utilizes both floating solar panels on a 14.5-hectare body of water and ground-mounted panels on reclaimed land.

The plant features 24,000 solar modules with a total capacity of 15.4 MWc, consisting of 11.3 MWc from floating solar and 4.1 MWc from ground installations. To support the configuration, 38 inverters were installed directly in the lake, some at depths of 17 meters.

The project is expected to produce approximately 18.8 GWh of renewable electricity annually, enough to power roughly 4,400 households. Additionally, the plant is estimated to prevent 228 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year. The electricity is supplied to the public grid via an 8.12-kilometer connection to the Carbone substation.
