Solvera raises $6.3M to launch AI-native engineering firm
Oslo-based Solvera has secured $6.3 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Seedcamp. The startup, founded by former Spacemaker and Autodesk alumni, aims to operate as an AI-native engineering firm rather than a traditional software provider.
Co-founders Arif Mirza (CEO), Pål Rasmussen (CTO), and Thorvald Thorsnes (CCO) are building an end-to-end engineering service for the construction industry. The company utilizes a purpose-built operating system featuring AI agents to automate engineering tasks, specifically targeting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering. This approach seeks to bridge the gap between advancing technology and stagnant engineering practices by integrating AI into the firm's operational model.
In addition to Seedcamp, the funding round included participation from Construct Venture, Inception Fund, Momentum, OBOS Ventures, PSV Tech, Sondo, and The Nordic Web Ventures. Angel investors, including Spacemaker founders Anders Kvåle and Håvard Haukeland, also participated. Solvera reports having signed $1 million in contracts within its first three months of operation.
