Solviva Energy to expand solar services beyond Metro Manila

Solviva Energy, a residential solar provider, has announced plans to expand its operations beyond the Greater Manila Area in the Philippines. The expansion follows a significant increase in inquiries for residential solar packages, which rose 272% between March and August 2026 compared to the previous year.

CEO Coby Cobankiat attributed the rising demand to global energy market volatility. The company’s growth is also supported by a recent Department of Energy circular aimed at streamlining installation requirements for self-generating solar systems. This policy simplifies rules for micro-solar systems and zero-export facilities, waiving certain compliance requirements for residential and medical facilities while reducing permitting hurdles.

Established in 2023 under AboitizPower’s innovation arm, 1882 Energy Ventures, Solviva Energy provides end-to-end services including site assessment, installation, and after-sale support. The company offers flexible financing options such as zero-down-payment and rent-to-own arrangements.
