Somalia's NISA kills two Al-Shabaab propaganda chiefs and 14 fighters in Hirshabelle raids

Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), together with international partners, carried out two coordinated raids in Hirshabelle State. The first operation in Miirtaqwo, Middle Shabelle, destroyed a facility dubbed the “Security House,” which stored equipment for Al‑Andalus radio, Al-Shabaab’s main propaganda outlet. NISA identified the two senior propaganda officials killed as Abdisamad Mohamed, head of the Al‑Andalus propaganda department, and Ali Salad, another media wing member; a third militant was seriously injured.

The second raid targeted Tardo in Hiiraan, where militants were being prepared for deployment to nearby areas. Fourteen Al‑Shabaab fighters were eliminated and a Toyota Noah vehicle used by the group was destroyed. NISA did not disclose the identities of the international partners involved or the exact timing of the operations.
