Sombr headlines Øyafestivalen

American pop artist Sombr, born Shane Michael Boose, headlined the Øyafestivalen on Friday. The 21-year-old performer rose to prominence after his song ‘Caroline’ went viral at age 16, and later achieved significant success through TikTok hits ‘Back to Friends’ and ‘Undressed’.

His performance featured a high-production stage design intended to evoke a New York street setting. Following a series of headliners including The Cure and Nick Cave, Sombr’s set provided a youthful pop contrast to the previous days' programming. His performance included hits from his album ‘I Barely Know Her’, which has garnered over six billion streams.
