Somdet Phra Sangkharat Hospital expands healthcare facilities in Ratchaburi

The Supreme Patriarch of Thailand, Somdet Phra Ariyavongsagatanana, presided over a foundation stone laying ceremony for two new buildings at Somdet Phra Sangkharat Hospital (Amphorn Mahathera) in Ratchaburi province on September 5, 2026.

The new structures, named the Chalong Satawat Building and the Phiphat Sataphat Building, are part of a project to construct medical examination, health promotion, and rehabilitation facilities. The initiative aims to upgrade the hospital's infrastructure to better serve Buddhist monks, the elderly, and patients with chronic diseases.

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul attended the ceremony as the lay leader, accompanied by several ministers and local officials. The development is intended to improve healthcare access and quality for the local population in the Damnoen Saduak district and surrounding areas.
