Somerset Council processes new planning applications

Somerset Council has processed several recent planning applications and decisions across the Wellington area. In Wellington, a proposal has been submitted for 1 Fore Street to convert office space into five self-contained flats, which includes a first-floor rear extension and roof height increases.

In Wiveliscombe, Tudor Cottage on Church Street has applications for a first-floor extension and loft conversion into ancillary accommodation. Additionally, planning permission was granted for the conversion of a garage into ancillary accommodation at The Old Rectory in Brompton Ralph.

Conversely, a proposal for the construction of 24 dwellings on land south of Butts Way in Milverton was refused. Tree-related applications were also noted, including permission to fell specific trees in Milverton under existing tree preservation orders.
