Somerset Minerals and Nelson Resources announce high-grade copper assay results

Somerset Minerals (ASX:SMM) disclosed high‑grade assay results from surface rock chip sampling across its Coppermine project in Canada. The Talisker district returned up to 36.4% copper and 214 g/t silver, while the Skye target showed a peak of 46.3% copper. MD Chris Hansen said the results “underscore the prospectivity of the region” and validate the multidisciplinary targeting approach.

Nelson Resources (ASX:NES) reported high‑grade copper‑gold results from reconnaissance sampling at its Sheba target on the Cinnamon Property in Nevada, USA. Rock chips yielded up to 1.95 g/t gold, 40.3 g/t silver and significant base‑metal grades, including 6.63% lead. Non‑Executive Chairman Gernot Abl described the find as “a clear epithermal signature” on the footwall of a major thrust, confirming the property's hydrothermal system.
