Somme launches sports conference series focusing on mental preparation

The Somme departmental council, in partnership with CDOS Somme, is launching its 2026-2027 “Rendez-vous du sport” conference series at the Maison des sports in Amiens. The monthly sessions, held every third Thursday from 18:30 to 20:00, aim to explore diverse sporting themes including communication, disability, and history.

The upcoming session on October 15 will focus on mental preparation, titled “From doubt to performance: remaining actors in key moments.” The conference will feature mental preparation specialist Franck Blondeau, alongside notable athletes such as powerlifting champion Clara Peyraud, ultra-marathoner Louise-Marie Thevenin-Lebran, and hammer thrower Jean-Baptiste Bruxelle.
