SoMo Borac conference announces speakers on piracy and AI
The 14th edition of the SoMo Borac conference, powered by Aleph, has announced its new lineup of speakers for the upcoming event on October 23 at Tvornica kulture in Zagreb. The program focuses on the intersection of digital trends, artificial intelligence, and audience engagement.
Miruna Herovanu, Executive Director of the Audiovisual Anti-Piracy Alliance (AAPA), will present ‘The Underbelly of Piracy.’ Her lecture will examine how illegal sports broadcasts serve as bait for data theft, phishing, and malware, and how AI enables pirate operations to rapidly rebuild domain and hosting infrastructures.
Director Filip Filković Philatz will discuss the relationship between nostalgia, algorithms, and AI in his presentation, ‘200 million reasons not to hunt for attention.’ He will use the digital archive ‘Spomenar’ as a case study to demonstrate how personal creative experiments can achieve multi-million view reaches through social media.
Additionally, psychologist and expert in police psychology Ivana Glavin Jelaš will present on communication techniques for managing stressful and challenging situations.
