Somogyi Quartet performs classical concerts in Bodrum and Izmir

The Hungarian Somogyi Quartet has performed several concerts across Turkey, bringing classical and contemporary Hungarian music to local audiences.

In Bodrum, the ensemble performed as part of the 23rd Gümüşlük Music Festival’s ‘Taşta Klasik’ series. Held at a historic stone quarry, the quartet’s repertoire included works by Ferenc Farkas, Joseph Haydn, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Antonín Dvořák.

The group also performed in Izmir as part of the ‘Zeytin Altında’ concert series at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Arts Center. This event was a collaborative effort between the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, the Hungarian Consulate General, and the Hungarian Cultural Center (Liszt Institute Istanbul). The performance featured both classical masterpieces and contemporary Hungarian compositions.
