Son Heung-min scores and assists in LAFC's 2-2 draw with San Jose

Son Heung-min recorded one goal and one assist to lead LAFC to a 2-2 draw against the San Jose Earthquakes at Levi's Stadium during a 2026 MLS regular season match.

Son opened the scoring in the 34th minute with a left-footed shot into the corner. In the second half, he provided an assist to Denis Bouanga to extend the lead. However, LAFC faced significant challenges, including a first-half red card for defender Aaron Long. San Jose responded with a goal from Preston Judd following a Timo Werner cross, and Raid Roberts secured the equalizer for the Earthquakes with a long-range shot in stoppage time.

Son's second goal in the 27th minute of the second half was disallowed by VAR due to a foul by Sergi Palencia. Following the match, Son is scheduled to join the South Korean national team for upcoming fixtures against Ecuador and Uruguay.
