Son La inaugurates border boarding schools worth over 500 billion VND

Son La province has inaugurated new boarding schools for primary and secondary levels in the border communes of Yen Son and Long Phiep. These projects, part of a larger initiative involving 13 boarding school constructions in border areas, represent a total investment exceeding 500 billion VND.

The Yen Son facility includes 30 classrooms designed to accommodate approximately 1,050 students, primarily from ethnic minority groups. The infrastructure features dining halls, dormitories, and synchronized systems for electricity, water, and fire safety. The Long Phiep project, with an investment of over 254.5 billion VND, has also completed its main technical infrastructure and equipment.

Nguyen Dinh Viet, Chairman of the Son La Provincial People's Committee, stated that investing in these schools is a major policy aimed at developing education, improving human resources, and strengthening national defense and security in border regions. He emphasized that the ultimate goal is to ensure high-quality education and effective operation of all technical systems before the new school year begins.
