Son Moix hosts Fira de l'Esport to mark 50th anniversary

The Fira de l'Esport has returned to the Son Moix Municipal Sports Palace in Palma to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the facility. Organized by the Palma City Council through the Municipal Institute of Sport (IME), the event marks the revival of a tradition that originally began in 2001 but had been inactive for thirteen years.

Inaugurated by Palma Mayor Jaime Martínez, the festival features over 180 free activities distributed across ten thematic zones. The event involves more than 100 sports federations and entities, offering a wide range of disciplines including athletics, cycling, football, rugby, martial arts, adapted sports, and various fitness sessions such as yoga and Pilates. The program is designed for all ages and includes specialized activities like archery, chess, and breaking.
