Eskişehir holds special ceremony for son of martyred police officer
In Eskişehir, a special circumcision ceremony was held for Eyüphan Sevim, the son of police officer Ali Sevim, who was martyred in a 2017 bomb attack in Diyarbakır's Sur district. To fulfill the boy's wish, the police department decorated a TOMA (Riot Control Vehicle) named after his father and used it as the ceremonial vehicle for the procession.
The event included a convoy led by the TOMA and accompanied by motorcycle police and other official vehicles. Following the ceremony, the Eskişehir Entrepreneur Businessmen Association (ESMİAD) announced that they would cover Eyüphan's educational expenses until he reaches university.
Eyüphan's mother, Demet Sevim, expressed a mix of joy, sadness, and pride, noting that while she has grieved for nine years, she wanted to stand strong for her son on his special day. The local Family and Social Services Provincial Directorate also noted their ongoing support for families of martyrs.
