Son Tae-young discusses son's soccer passion amid SAT exams

Actress Son Tae-young shared her concerns regarding her high school senior son, Luk-hee, who remains deeply committed to soccer despite the pressures of academic testing. In a recent video on her YouTube channel, ‘Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young’, Son discussed her son’s intense passion for the sport, noting that he continues to play even while recovering from injuries and despite his busy schedule.

Son expressed parental anxiety because the day of the video coincided with the SAT, a standardized test used for college admissions in the United States. While she noted that her son insists on managing his own studies, she admitted to feeling conflicted about his focus on soccer during his senior year. Ultimately, she expressed a sense of acceptance, stating, ‘Life is what it is, as long as he is happy.’

Son Tae-young currently resides in New Jersey to support her children's education, while her husband, actor Kwon Sang-woo, travels between South Korea and the United States.
