Son Ye Jin faces criticism over eating video

South Korean actress Son Ye Jin has faced mixed reactions following the release of a video in which she enjoys a cheese stick. While some viewers found her relaxed and authentic demeanor endearing, others criticized her eating sounds, describing them as excessive and unpleasant.

The controversy has expanded beyond the actress herself, sparking a broader debate regarding eating etiquette. Some Japanese netizens have used the video to make generalized comments about South Korean dining habits, specifically regarding noisy chewing.

Defenders of the actress suggest that the audio may have been amplified by the recording equipment and have questioned whether such a simple clip warrants intense scrutiny.
