SONACOS Director General announces community and sports initiatives in Diourbel

Cheikh Ahmed Tidiane Guèye, Director General of the Société nationale de commercialisation des oléagineux du Sénégal (SONACOS), has announced several social and economic initiatives in the Diourbel region of Senegal.

In Ndoulo, SONACOS will provide financial support to 800 women in collaboration with the DER/FJ to promote economic autonomy. Guèye also highlighted plans for youth employment, vocational training, literacy programs, and rural electrification through various partnerships.

In the sports sector, Guèye has been named honorary president of the SONACOS de Diourbel football club. Currently playing in the second division, the club aims to return to the first division with support from Guèye, who intends to utilize corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds and sponsorship projects to stabilize the team's finances.
