A viral video appearing to show content creator Sonam Yadav bathing in the Ganga river at Haridwar while wearing a bikini has been identified as an AI-generated manipulation. The doctored footage circulated widely on social media platforms like X and Instagram, sparking controversy due to the religious significance of the location.

Fact-checking investigations revealed that the original footage shows Yadav bathing in a salwar suit. The manipulated version used AI editing to alter her clothing. Yadav has since lodged a formal complaint with the cyber branch regarding the unauthorized and deceptive use of her likeness.

Local officials and religious groups have expressed concern over the incident, noting that such digital manipulations can offend the sentiments of pilgrims and violate the sanctity of religious sites.
